The principle of operation of this equipment consists of continuous weighing of the material, and by varying the speed of the discharge auger, it maintains the dosing with an error margin of 0.5% to 1% maximum. This equipment has two operating modes (gravimetric and volumetric) which are intercalated during the dosing process.

The gravimetric mode comprises the unloading stage, where the weight setpoint is sampled and the auger speed is adjusted to maintain the set dosing value.

The volumetric mode includes the filling stage of the dosing hopper, in which the last average speed of the auger is maintained and held for the duration of the loading stage of the material, to ensure the accuracy of the equipment this stage should be at least 5 times shorter than the operation in gravimetric mode, thus ensuring a better control of the dosing and a smaller margin of error.
